Keeping track of the specifics of your help wanted ads is important. Especially if you want to repeat successes and avoid constant failures when running help wanted ads.
After all…the ads aren’t cheap.
So the best way of tracking what works and what doesn’t is to create a simple form. Use it to collect some data on the ads as you run them. The information may not be terribly helpful after you run just one or two help wanted ads. But it will be very helpful over time.
It wont be long before you have eight to ten insertions under your belt. This is when you should be able to see some trends forming. One ad or another will out perform the others at some point. You obviously want to run the more successful ad more frequently.
As you can see from my example form, it does not need to be a work of art. Just be diligent in keeping track of each ad.
Now you need to keep in mind that experimentation is encouraged. Run differently worded ads to see what pulls the greatest response.
Before long you will have some clear favorites. The money you will save by running the most effective ad is better in your pocket than the newspapers pocket!
