A friend of mine sent over some old Chinese proverbs that are thought to be from Confucius.
Confucius of course is the wise man that lived about 2,500 years ago in China.
After looking over some of the teachings this man left to us, I started to think he was on to something. In fact, it would not surprise me if they one day discovered he owned a cleaning business back then.
His advice seems eerily similar to what you need to do to be successful in this business. Consider some of the following statements.
“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop”
“Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart”
“Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in getting up every time we do”
“Respect yourself and others will respect you”
“What the superior man seeks in himself, the small man seeks in others”
“I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand”
This advice he left us is as timeless right now as it was 2,500 years ago. I think it’s amazing how the basic rules of self conduct and belief really have never wavered over the centuries.
Whenever you feel as though you are drifting from your goals and dreams, go back to the basics and make use of principles that have stood the test of time.
