I wanted to give those that are just getting started, not to mention everyone else, a bonus by providing a cleaning flyer for them to use.
I never used this one in my company, but I think it has what it takes to get you a few calls if used properly. You’ll have to modify it slightly to suit your needs.
As always the name of the game is getting them into as many peoples hands as possible, particularly your target markets hands. If you do that, it will give you the best response possible. Without further ado, take a look at the flyer below.
I generally like adding a visual of some kind, and when I saw the tornado clip art it got me thinking about how to make use of it. After a few minutes I had an idea that revolved around the fact that many clients complain that their current cleaning company flies in and out without seeming to do all that much.
So I ran with that line of thought and I came up with the flyer you see here. It should resonate with those that feel that their current cleaners aren’t spending the time they should to do their job. You’ll have to test it out to see how well it works, but at first glance I think it will get you some calls.
If you would like to have the editable OpenOffice version of this flyer just visit my download page by clicking here (LOOK FOR FILE #18). As always, I appreciate your comments, so if you have any feel free to leave one in the comments below.

If this to help beginner’s how are you going to have a bunch of references?
Tom Watson says
Hi John! Well there is different levels to being a beginner. You can be BRAND NEW with no references, or you can be new but have a few references to share. If you don’t have any… just modify the flyer like I mentioned.

What is the easiest way to bid on a job , Jeff
Tom Watson says
Hi Jeff!
That is a BIG QUESTION. Lots of POSSIBLE ways to go about it. For SIMPLE jobs this is ONE WAY… Take your BEST GUESS as to HOW LONG the job will take. So if you think it will take 4 hours per night… then charge the customer DOUBLE what you will pay the staff to clean it.
So if you pay 10 per hour (it will cost you 40 bucks in labor per cleaning) then charge the client 20 bucks per hour (that will total 80 bucks per visit). There is more to it than that, but that is a shortcut method.

Thanks Caryl!

If you only double the price on a bid you would only make $10 hour ….you would end up loosing money at that rate …..wouldn’t you ??
Tom Watson says
Hi Susan! Your profit is what is left after all expenses. So when you double your rate (which, like I mentioned, is the short-cut method), that gives you money left over (which is profit). So it does work.
I think what happens is this… people think that is not enough (it SOUNDS so LITTLE). They think they will only make a small profit per hour on each job. And that is “TRUE” to an extent! The reality is that you don’t GET RICH on one customer or one staff member working for you.
You need a BUNCH of people all making you money working out in the field. Once you get 4 or 5 people working, and they are all earning YOU 10 per hour after expenses, money adds up. YOU ARE NOT DOING any work, BUT YOU ARE earning money just for managing it. You’ll get there!
