I’m not one to play the lottery all that much, but when the jackpot gets real high… I’m in!
So the other day I play the lottery and it hit me. Playing the lottery is what our potential customers do when they choose us.
Sometimes they win the jackpot and get a great cleaning service, but the vast majority of times they LOSE BIG TIME. Out of that thought, came an idea for a flyer. Take a peek at it below and let me know what you think.
This flyers is super simple, to the point and conveys a concept that makes sense. And I’m a firm believer that simple works best, and that is why my flyers aren’t all that “wordy”. My goal is grab their attention, and get them to look at my message. If they like what they see, they can call me!
Anyway… feel free to use the example above however you like. Use it “as is” or tweak it a bit so that it favors commercial or residential cleaning. Much like the last few flyers I’ve created this is not a download. You will have to make it yourself and you’ll need an image like the one I used (or something similar).
I bought my image off this page here. PLEASE NOTE that I normally buy “credits”, not the subscription off the sites that sell images to use. The credits may cost a bit more, but they don’t require a long-term commitment (which I like). Anyway… have fun with the free flyer example.

When we send out these fliers, do we also include a brief intro letter or just send the flier and a business card attached?
Tom Watson says
Experiment. See what gets the best response. Sometimes I just went around and handed out the flyers. Sometimes I attached a business card to the flyers. Sometimes I mailed them along with a sales letter. Sometimes I dropped them off to the front desk of real estate offices along with a dozen donuts. I did a little of everything!

Awesome!!!

Hi Mr. Watson. You give very good suggestions for flyers but what about business cards? Do you have any suggestion for those? If so I sure could use your advice. I’ve been in the cleaning business for 7 months now and I haven’t quite got it together on how my card should look and what it should have written on it. Any ideas?
Tom Watson says
Hi David! I had my cards custom designed, but you can just use Vista-print. they have cards made just for the cleaning industry. Check them out (go to business cards, then specialty, then type CLEANING… http://www.vistaprint.com/

This is a fantastic idea for my office cleaning flyer, ive been trying to get that point across with my flyer design but lacking some sass which this definitely gives! Only just need to be careful how its designed because most office receptionists could throw it out without looking at it properly if it looks like the usual spam!
