I was scanning Amazon for some deals when I stumbled across some Extendable Microfiber Dusters.
These really come in handy when cleaning a home or business, and for a four pack to only be $20 they certainly don’t break the bank.
What’s nice about microfiber is that they are really good at grabbing onto dirt and debris when cleaning hard to reach spots. They are also hypoallergenic, anti-static and non-scratch as well. They are even hand washable, so you can use them over and over.
I had a ton of these microfiber dusters over the years in my business. While you can use them again and again, eventually they get beat to death and you need to replace them. But at only $20, that’s not a big deal in my opinion.
When I cleaned houses they came in handy for sure, but I got the most out of them on the commercial side of my business. I used them to high dust in apartment complex hallways, hit the ceiling fans and low dust the baseboard.
If you do get the microfiber dusters just remember to keep them clean as possible. If the customer sees you walking in with a dirty set of dusters they will not be happy. They just think you are “bringing in the dirt”, instead of taking it out.

Question…. Just yesterday we did a whole house clean out. Spoke with the owner several times and he seemed like a good guy. We finished the job and the owner proceeded to tell us he dosen’t have the money! We made it clear payment was due on completion. We had spoke in great detail and he even offered us a $100. bonus if we would move around other jobs to get him in on the next day. Went to pick up pay and he was very matter of fact that he has nothing for us. Told me “you cant get blood from a stone” We went to the police station and filled out a report and the sheriff called him. We now have just a promises of being paid in the next 9 days. What steps should we take to assure this doses not happen again?

Hi Jim! That is a messed up story. Sorry you had to go through that, but sadly it’s always possible I suppose. I can say in all my years, I never had that happen as far as I can remember.
To answer your question… I don’t know how you can prevent it from happening short of having people prepay, which won’t work. I would just have your terms listed on the invoice so when they sign, they agree to payment terms. At least you have something official that way.
