Juse a note from a janitor at a major hospital currently. The 18-24 inch size microfiber mop is all we use. Most of the people have many extra microfiber mops on their cart daily though. Because in every patient room a new one is required because because of cross contamination. Also they get dirty and have to be replaced as needed. For cleaning buildings though, It may be ok to just have a supply available and wash at end of week.

A lot of times, I just vacuum as I think it picks up better than dust mops. What are your thoughts?

Depends… it’s a matter of perception. Some times a homeowner / facility manager wants to see the dust mop (the vacuum can be perceived as a SHORTCUT). Depends on customer in my opinion.
