If you are looking to start your own successful cleaning business, then you are in the right spot. If you have already started your own cleaning business but can’t manage to make any money, you are also in the right spot.
Making money in this business is not all that hard if you do things “just right”. Do them “wrong” however, and you are never going to make a buck (even if your grandmother spotted you the first 99 cents).
What’s the solution you ask? That’s an easy one to answer…EDUCATION. You need to learn the ropes from someone who has already set out and acheived what you are looking to do.
That’s where I come in.
I’m Tom Watson, and along with my wife Suzanna, we started a cleaning business out of the blue a little over ten years ago. It grew so fast we were working from 12 to 16 hours per day, EVERYDAY.
Within three years we went from invoicing $120.00 per month to over $38,000 per month. Along the way we learned hundreds of lessons about what works and what doesn’t.
Some of these lessons were easy to learn, while others took us years to fully grasp. You can skip that whole trial and error process by just signing up for our email newsletter. Click on the link below to get started!

Our Humble Beginnings
We each worked in a manufacturing type environment for some time. In fact Sue worked at the same company for over 23 years, surviving the many up’s and downs the company had experienced over the years.
The company where we worked produced electronic storage systems for fortune 500 companies. It was a great place to work until new “management” came in. Around this time the job we enjoyed became more of a chore than a pleasure.
It was about this time that the business started to go through a slight down turn. To hedge our bets we thought it would be a good idea to have a “Plan B” in place in case our jobs were downsized. This is when the idea was born to start our own cleaning business.
The Business Grew Fast
While still putting in a full day at our “day job”, we worked hard at getting new customers. Some days we would leave at lunchtime to perform a bid on a new account then rush back like madmen before our lunch hour was up.
Things picked up so fast that we hired employees while still working at our day job. Sneaking in phone calls to the crew was part of our daily routine at work.
In just over a year I was earning more part-time in the cleaning business than I was at my day job. Needless to say I went full-time in the cleaning business and I’ve never looked back since.
The Cleaning Business Saved Us
While I had my hands full running the cleaning company, Sue still worked full-time at her job. But that all changed in 2001 as the industry went into a deep dive due to the recession. This lead to Sue being laid off unexpectedly after 23 years of employment.
But the silver lining was the cleaning business we had started. The business was thriving despite the slow economy. Having Sue on board lead to even more cleaning accounts over time as a new helping hand arrived. We were now off to the races!
